Just… the look Dean gives Cas when he says he’ll go with him. Like he’s surprised and then searching to see if it’s another joke, and then when Cas asks the plan he’s smiling because it’s not quite Cas but it’s just socially awkward enough that Dean feels like he’s with his Cas again.

^ this. the whole time i wanted to grab Dean and start punching him REALLY HARD 

OMG ME TOO!!! But even as a Dean girl I get that urge regularly… sometimes I just feel he needs someone to literally just knock some sense into him. It’s like if his emotional pain was made physical he could deal with it better…. I dunno… these past two or three seasons (especially this one) I have found myself wanting to just slap him upside the head or just haul off and beat the shit outta him… 

I love my Dean… and I always will, but I want to beat him out of love… does that make sense?

I love Dean. I do. I know he’s in pain and doesn’t know how to handle the situation. He doesn’t know how to handle Cas like this at all.

But this scene makes him look like an abusive husband.
